Multifunction Head Band (MHB)

The E3S MHB is a wireless, customizable digital platform that integrates tracking, capture and projection systems. It attaches to a flexible or rigid occipital headband.

E3S MHB transmits data to an external computer via USB link. Angle information is returned to embedded microcontroller via Wi-Fi enslaving a pan/tilt camera on the user’s line of sight by a servomotor. Images are recorded in streaming on the wi-fi network.

The basic version of the E3S multifunction headband includes:

  • Fixed or manually adjustable wide-angle camera
  • Fast motorized camera with remote control
  • Eye tracking system
  • Local recording on SD card
  • Live streaming (Wi-Fi)
  • Additional lighting
  • Laser pointer
Few options can be added depending on the use case: The E3S-MHB can record UHD videos for later analysis, training purposes and detection of handling errors. For surgical assistance system a microphone and headset for optional communication are provided.
